We have some very exciting news to share with you!
As of June 1, 2019, Minga Skill Building Hub will have a new home and long-term leadership by the team at 10C Shared Space. As you may know, 10C is a shared community hub in downtown Guelph and they are very excited to be continuing the programming of Minga as Minga by 10C.
Ella and I have decided that operating Minga as an independent business is no longer the right container for us anymore. We are excited to be moving on to different adventures and Minga will become a signature program of 10C, a growing and thriving pillar of community building and skill sharing in Guelph. Minga’s workshops, will continue through 10C’s stewardship and we couldn’t be happier to be handing off our baby to this incredibly dynamic organization!
What this means for you:
Workshops that are already scheduled will continue as planned. We are working to onboard and transition with 10C’s team over the spring and summer. Also, Minga and 10C will be together at Local Food Fest on June 23 11am-4:00pm at Ignatius Jesuit Centre to further connect into this wonderful skills-building and sharing community.
Ella and I are so grateful for the years of work and relationship that we have had with you. Minga’s instructors and event participants are the heart and soul of Minga. Without you there would be no community, no spreading of the joy of learning new skills, no people lit up about the things they can do with their own two hands. We are really looking forward to what will be created and will continue to flourish under 10C’s umbrella.
We are deeply deeply honoured to have been welcomed in as part of your life in some way over the past seven years. Whether you have attended one or many workshops, visited us at special events, been online fans, or just referred someone to us who you knew would be inspired by what we do, we are grateful to have been connected with you.
To commemorate this transition, we’d like to invite you to invite you to a special event on Sunday, June 9, from 10:00am - 12:00pm at 10C. Come and enjoy tea, snacks and mimosas. We’d love to see you there, to give high fives to honour the past of Minga and celebrate the future of Minga by 10C.
